Today I’m going to cook a Zimbabwean specialty: Nyama Ne Nyemba. |

These are the ingredients you will need: |
Izvi ndizvo zvauchada kushandisa: |

If you’re using dried nyemba, soak them overnight. |
Kana urikushandisa nyemba dzakaoma, dzinyike mumvura usiku hwose. |
|
Heat oil over medium-high heat then add the onions.. |
Dziisa mafuta pamoto uri pakati nepakati woisa hanyanisi. |
|
Add the meat and brown on all sides. |
Isa nyama yako woitsvukisa mativi ese. |
|
Add garlic and curry powder and stir. |
Isa garlic ne curry wokurunga. |
|
Add water to cover the beef, cover, and simmer for 1 hour. |
Isa mvura inovhara nyama, kwidibira, wosiya zvichikwata kwe awa. |
|
Add water as necessary to the desired thickness. |
Isa mvura inoenderana nekukora kwaunoda. |
|
When the beef is soft put in the tomatoes and fresh green chili. |
Kana nyama yaibva, isa madomasi ne mhiripiri ye green. |
|
Add tomato paste and nyemba and cook, covered for 15 minutes until beans are soft. |
Isa tomato paste ne nyemba wobika wakavhara kwama minitsi 15 kusvika nyemba dzaibva. |
|
Season with salt and pepper to taste. |
Isa sauti ne pepper. |
|
Drizzle with lemon juice and serve. |
